Ready for beautiful, fuller eyelashes? Are you interested in supplementing your hair restoration efforts? Latisse® is a safe treatment option that helps regrow hair and thicken lashes with significant results. Bawa Medical offers Latisse® treatment for men and women in Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, and the surrounding areas.
What Is Latisse®?
While the exact process of just how Latisse® works isn’t fully understood, Latisse® is a prescription treatment that grows thicker, darker eyelashes by both increasing the number of hairs that sprout and extending the growth phase.
While most commonly used for treating hypotrichosis (a condition which causes a progressive loss of hair during adolescence), Latisse® is often used off-label for the aesthetic purposes of giving patients longer, fuller eyelashes. Patients undergoing Latisse® treatment can expect to achieve the following:
- Darkening of the eyelashes
- An increase in lash fullness and thickness
- An increase in the length of their eyelashes
As you explore Latisse® reviews, you’ll discover it’s not just used for eyelashes; Latisse® may also be used for hair loss. Latisse® can help grow thicker, fuller head on the scalp as well as the face.
How Much Does Latisse® Cost in Boca Raton?
The cost of Latisse® treatment depends on many factors including the treatment area and length of treatment you need to begin seeing results. During your first appointment at Bawa Medical, we will create a tailored treatment plan with you and review the cost of your treatment. For your convenience, we accept many forms of payment in addition to financing through CareCredit®.
How Does Latisse® Work?
Latisse® is applied by the patient at home by dabbing the Latisse® product with the use of the supplied sterile applicators to the upper lash each night. Each time you blink, the Latisse® is spread to the lower lashes. You should ensure your face is clean, any and all makeup has been removed, and that you are not wearing any contact lenses.
The application process of Latisse® is undertaken each night in the following steps:
First, make sure your face is clean. All makeup should be removed and contact lenses should be removed from the eyes. Wash your hands to avoid spreading germs to the eyes.
The applicator should then be removed from its packaging and held horizontally before gently squeezing the bottle to allow one drop of Latisse® onto the Latisse® applicator.
The applicator with the Latisse® should then be drawn along the base of the upper eyelashes, starting from the inner part of the eyelash and moving to the outer part. No Latisse® should be applied to the lower lid, as blinking will allow the Latisse® on the upper lid to spread to the lower lid. Do not place any of the Latisse® into the eye.
Finally, blot away any excess Latisse® that may be on the eyelid, again trying not to get any of it into the eyes.
How Long Will Latisse® Results Last?
You should start to see results after around two months of nightly use. After three or four months, we may suggest reducing the application schedule from every night to every two days. Studies into the effectiveness of Latisse® results after 16 weeks of use have shown eyelash length to have increased by 25 percent, eyelash darkness to have increased by 18 percent, and thickness and fullness to have increased by 106 percent.
If patients stop using Latisse®, they will start to see their eyelashes gradually returning to their former, pre-Latisse® state.
